SEPTIC SYSTEM CARE

REGULAR CLEANING

Depending on the demands you put on your septic system, it should be cleaned every 1-3 years depending on usage, and local regulations require that your septic tank needs to be pumped and/or inspected at least every three years. Everything you send down the drain in your sink, shower, toilet, and garbage disposal winds up in your septic tank.

Tank pumping is essential to keeping your septic system in solid working order. Over time sludge collects at the bottom of the tank, limiting its capacity to working properly. Failure to keep your tank pumped out can result in costly repairs or even replacement of your septic system. Having your septic system maintained properly will help to ensure a long life for your system.

SEPTIC FILTERS

Septic filters perform an important task by preventing solids from leaving the tank which extends the life of the drain field. We highly recommend that septic filters be checked every 3-6 months to ensure they are still doing the job. It is typically very easy to check your septic filters yourself. If you are unsure how to check your filters, give us a call and we'd be happy to help.
